Ambitions: Party Planner. Go to Ryerson for their Hospitality and Tourism Management Program. Open up my own International Hotel business.

Plans: New tattoo, a lily with japanese writing. Travel to England and watch my team (Liverpool) play. Go to India. Travel to a 3rd world country and build houses. Dance on a stage (not in a performance). Learn Ukrainian. Stay up for 24 hours. Learn how to surf. Go on a Cruise. Figure out Girls. And guys to come to it. Pet a Tiger. Get a job that I enjoy.

My Dad and my best friends are the things that keep me going. My dad is always there, and even when I don't want him to he always keeps an eye out for me. My Best friends who are the ones that can make laugh, cry, smile. They make every day better than the last and always find some new way of challenging me and preventing me of becomming too bored with life.

There was this thing I found. I guess most ukrainians will get it, and if you don't just nod and smile! And for the Most part this is true. but NOT all of it!

You Know You Are A Ukie Dancer When...

~ No matter how long your performance is, you always have that extra bit of energy saved up for the HOPAK
~Red boots are NOT tacky
~You have changed in classrooms, bathrooms, hallways, backstage, closets and storage rooms yet and you never seem to complain
~You can't bend your knees by the age of 13
~ You have seen everyone in your dance group naked and no one really cares
~ Tights are your second skin
~BIG BRIGHT make-up is 'IN'
~ You have pins of all sizes and that extra hair net in your purse
~ At practice being sweaty is NORMAL, its actually frowned upon if you aren't
~ You have black boots, red boots, red shoes, beige shoes, black shoes and 2 pairs of slippers with you at all times!
~braids are not nerdy
~Having your pants tucked into your socks is fashionable
~ Carrying a roll of hockey sock tape is normal, you know... so you can tape your pants around the waist and the socks around the ankles
~ Everyone in the group knows how to braid hair (girls) or tie a poyas (boys)
~You get an overwhelming feeling of satisfaction when your head loses circulation due to the tightness of your vinok
~Your costume is pinned to the max! one part wont fall off without bringing the rest of it!
~You feel weird when you are dancing without heels, its like singing without a voice... IT JUST CANT BE DONE!
~ You dont get creeped out when you see a boy doing the splits
~ Red beads did NOT go out with the 70's
~ Dance skirts will end up being undone at least 3 times over the course of a practice... THOSE BOYS!
~ You will get kicked, hit, slapped and stepped on throughout a performance yet you never notice until you get those mysterious bruises the next day!
~ You eat sleep and breathe folk music
~ Dancing in your kitchen??? who DOESNT do it?
~ In Ukrainian dancing, you will find the boys doing the squating and the girls doing the standing! ha ha
~That music is soo catchy you hum it at home, at school, at work, while you shop, well... basically EVERYWHERE!
~Your instructor is God to you, his words like scripture
~ Having humans dressed up as animals is quite common
~ Mustache glue is a bitch to get off
~ You go home and practice screaming... your family will forever think you are weird for doing this
~ Of course I am wearing fake eyelashes, you dont?!?!
~ Layered heavy wool material is what you live for
~ Boys fighting with swords is not scary anymore
~ The 'HEY' at the end of the HOPAK is the most exciting moment, when you cant think of anything else but how much you love to dance!
