- A huge peeve of mine is teenage culture these days. WHEN did it become cool to stop growing up at age 8? Teenagers walking around representing transformers, ninja turtles, batman, superman, spongebob... fucking grow up. Even your personalities and attitudes are grossly immature, even for teenagers. When I was that age nobody was like "zomg i like cookies && hugs && cute dinosaurs!". It's annoying and pathetic, and I'll hate to see how your generation fucks up our future. Growing up is part of life, embrace it and get out of your secure little childhood mentalities.
Firstly, not ALL teenagers are like that. And if you have met some that are, it shouldn't bother you because we all like what we do, and we have our interests.
People like you are the ones who tell us to be ourselves, and go out and be unique. I'm sorry, but when was
the last time you told somebody to be themselves, and they are? Seriously. It annoys me when people
put teenagers down because of these stupid stereotypes. They mean nothing. If you want to have a bit
of fun in your life, yes, you do have that option of 'having fun more maturely' but it doesn't keep many
occupied very long. You may have lived your life as a 'teenage nerd' but it doesn't mean that the rest should.
Everybody out there is told day in and day out to be unique and different. If you are saying that ALL teenagers act that way, then you sir, need to re-think about your thoughts.
Because in my mind, if we have a childish side to us, so be it. But don't put blame on us if we 'fuck up our future.'
To be quite honest, I find that your generation has done a fair share of that. But that's an opinion.
I find that if you want to be a person that gives advice, take it from somebody that gives advice to others
and tells them to be themselves around others. Telling people to "be themselves" and if they have a childish side and to say that it bugs you, is really hypocritical.
So to me, I'm thinking that you should re-think about what you are saying about us teenagers.
Because many of us take it offensively. You should be more respectful. As I've seen that you don't like people who don't respect people.
Again. Hypocritical.
I say that you should live up to your age and quit being so ignorant towards other stereotyped groups. Because they are NOT always what you make them out to be.
Thank you. And have a
marvelous day.
