Tomorrow Is Never Promised. </3
These are the faces of five innocent boys, four of whom lost their lives and the fifth remains in hospital fighting for his life. On October 22, 2011 they were driving home from a party in Peace River back home to Grande Prairie, just on the highway outside of the city, their car was struck by a drunk driver who then fled the scene. These boys were the nicest, most kind hearted, fun loving, outgoing group of boys you would ever meet. Walter Borden-Wilkins 15, Tanner Hildebrand 15, Vincent Stover 16, and Matthew Deller 16, all lost their lives in this fatal accident. This fatality struck the community of Grande Prairie very hard. Since that day, their story has been heard all across Canada, and even some parts of the United States. I was a friend with all five of the boys, very close actually. I may not live in Grande Prairie anymore but it's still home and I feel for their family and our friends. This has been a rough month for me, I have been no where near myself since, and I just want to get the word out to stop drinking and driving. It causes grief, it kills the family and friends and who ever else knew that person you just killed by drinking and driving, it kills us inside to know that you don't care enough to save someones life, let alone your own life, so next time you're drunk and are planning on driving home yourself, remember my story and my friends and remember what you can do to prevent this from happening again, you can save a life, or four. Thank-you.
