A Smart Kid
Stranded here on planet earth
It's not much but it could be worse
Everything's free here, there's no crowds

Winter lasted five long years
No sun will come again I fear
Chemical harvest was sown

And I will wait for you
Until the sky is blue
And I will wait for you
What else can I do?

A spaceship from another star
They ask me where all the people are
What can I tell them?

I tell them I'm the only one
There was a war but I must have won
Please take me with you.

Mr. Dookie Quotes
"How many of you guys enjoy projectile motion? I know I still enjoy projectile motion."

"A big long thing like that will make you feel pretty good... personal satisfaction"

"We have to look at the graph, so don't not look at the graph."

"I'm going to call the first one, 'one'."

"There are no retests in life."

Dookie: Alright, so we have three lengths to make out of the fence, seeing as we already have one. I guess that other one is a barn.
Ryan: That's a BIG barn.
Dookie: Are you sayin' I can't have a big barn?!

*walks into class wearing an inflatable sumo-wrestler costume*

"Today we're going to learn how to complete the square. You guys will enjoy this. Tonight you'll be sitting on your couch, watching TV and all of a sudden thinking, 'Man, I really want to complete that square right now.'"

"I don't know if I want to show you guys the shortcut, I don't want you developing any bad habits... okay, I'll show you guys... wait... I don't know..."

"I'm just doing my job."

"If you were to ask me on the weekend or something, when I wasn't in math mode..."

"Look at the graph... I mean, you're obviously going to look at the graph"

"...or if you have some unimportant class like Social."

You're not political, you're just a tool.
I hate talking about politics with most people. It seems that everyone has completely bias opinions, or just wrong information. I'm talking about how everyone now seems to get all their political facts from the wrong sources, such as music, and bias media groups.

I just can't stand kids who get all their politics from their music. What's up with all these anti-Bush musicians? Do they actually have any idea what they're talking about? The only smart political comment I've ever heard from a musician comes from Alice Cooper. And that comment was something among the lines of "Who in their right mind would trust what a rock star has to say about politics? We're out and about, doing shows and partying, we have no time to research any facts to give a proper opinion on anything." And that's pretty much true. It seems that most people who are against Bush say that "oh well he started a war and is a crack head and isn't even the US's president". Oh shut up already, you can 't prove any of that.

It's even worse now with that damned Michael Moore movie, which you should be well aware that I hate. I have no beef with people who are against Bush or any other political figure if they actually put the time in to research about things, and then form an opinion. You can then logically debate with people like that, and I'm totally fine with that. When I see kids though that listen to some dumb band like Anti-Flag, or even worse, NOFX telling me that Bush is an idiot, what are they basing it on?

Another thing, I've heard that MTV used to have this little "Vote or Die" thing going on. I know little about it (considering I don't even have that channel), but from the sounds of it, it's basically pressuring youths to vote, and offers little information about anything, or bias information at that. I'm scared for the fate of the US because it seems everyone out there are such giant tools when it comes to politics. Canada's not near as bad, but still, I hear kids going on about how the Liberals suck and they have nothing to base their case on. Christ, I don't even vote on things if I don't know anything about it, or if I can't give a proper opinion, even if it's something as simple as a comparison of two bands. And if I do give my opinion, I state that it's flawed because I'm not familiar with the other half of the case.

Really though, I just can't stand seeing kids getting all their politics from music. Luckily it seems the anarchy thing isn't that cool anymore, so I see a lot less of it. It's quite a relief. It'd be nice to see politics removed from music, or at the very least, politics that have no basis. To quote Alice Cooper again, I believe he said something "Politics in rock and roll is treason to rock and roll. When I was a kid, and I was sick of hearing my parents talk about politics, I'd go into my room and listen to my Rolling Stones records to get away from all the politics. Now it's in the music, and that's not right". Funny how the best advice comes from the very place you shouldn't be getting it. Still, that's a very valid point. God damn I hate stupid people.
