The physics and the metaphysics of Pokemon astound me.

The humans are constantly discovering continents full of animals on their planet that they didn't know existed, both the animals AND the land masses themselves.


Well they always alluded to the fact they don't know all the pokemon in the world. But apparently they also didn't know human beings occupied other continents on their planet. Because all the humans on one continent know about all the Pokemon in their region, but have no idea that Pokemon are on other continents are almost a completely different set.

And they obviously don't know peole are there, or they would call/boat to the people and ask them about the Pokemon (before the chronology in the game that involves people traversing back and forth between continents).

They can invent a program that can turn living, biological beings into red particles to not only store them in a ball, but send them across the internet to other locations without any horrible gene splicing side effects. But pose them the problem of making their ships (remember, they already have cruise ships that traverse the ocean) go across the ocean to other continents and give the locals a chat? The locals with an already established society that is completely parallel?

The thing is..no one in Kanto knew about any other continent. Then when you play on Johto, everyone on Johto knows about Kanto, but have no knowledge about any other continent. Then when you get to Hoenn...they all know about Johto and Kanto, and are clueless about any other continents.

And so on.


No one even knows about any limits to the world of pokemon. It could be four times the size of Earth. It could be the size of the Milky Way. They could run out of ideas for continents before the run out of space on this limitless planet. The humans of the Pokemon world have not traveled across their entire world, at least collectively, because somehow the exact same culture grew on every single continent. The same language, the same technologies, the same everything across different continents that did not communicate.

Despite having the means to.

And so on.
