Be Bold, Be beautiful, Be Buff, Be Bloated, Be you, Be me, Be anyone you want to be!

Too many years
fighting back tears . . .
Why can't the past
just die . . .?
Wishing you were
somehow here again . . .
knowing we must
say goodbye . . .
Try to forgive . . .
teach me to live . . .
give me the strength
to try . . .
-Wishing you were somehow here again

Phantom Of The Opera
We all want to fall in love. Why? Because that experience makes us feel completely alive, where every sense is heightened, and every emotion is magnified. Our every day reality is shattered and we are flying into the heavens. It may only last a moment, an hour, or an afternoon, but that doesn't diminish its value, because we are left with memories that we treasure for the rest of our lives.

I'm just a summer girl/I wear my flip flops/When I let my hair down/That's when the party starts/I got my girl friends/When we get together/The summer never ends/Everybody needs a little bit of sunshine/Everybody needs time to unwind/Everybody's got to have a good time/Everybody get up on your feet/Everybody got to shake your body/Everybody got a right to be free

I Remember When...
Getting high meant swinging at the playground;
The worst thing you could get from boys was cooties;
Mom was your hero & dad was the only boy in your life;
Wearing skirts didn't mean you were a slut;
The only thing that hurt was skinned knees;
The only things that could get broken were your toys;
Your worst enemies were your siblings;
Race issues were who could run the fastest;
The only thing you smoked were the tires on your bike,
War was a cardgame;
Life was simple and care free;
&& all I wanted to do was, grow up
Now I just want to be a kid again.

Hurt
I feel scared about you and me.
What we had before makes me feel so faint,
It is as if I am a ghost.
Every time my eyes meet yours
My heart shuts and locks like a cold steel door.
In my breathlessness I shake.
My heart pounds like a war drum,
My mind preparing my body for battle.
Paleness washes over me, my skin like Snow White
I panic as I still hear your voice
Resonating in my mind like it was just yesterday.
My tears in my hands,
My shattered heart on the floor,
Falling through the cracks.
My heart screams "I need you,"
But my mind says "no."
There is understanding in the midst of confusion.
You and I were once meant to be,
But now you see and think differently.

Gamebreaker
It’s finally our ball, with thirty-seven seconds left on the clock,
But we’re down by five, so we’ll need some luck!
Twenty-seven yards for a touchdown to win the game,
And finally after so long, our team might win some fame
As I step in the huddle, then call the play,
I think about how nervous I have been through the day
My palms are sweaty so I wipe them on my pants,
I walk to the line, and get into my stance.
Down, Set, Hut! I call,
The running-back hesitates as he takes the ball
It ended up that he didn’t get very far,
It almost looked like he got hit by a car!
Back in the huddle, I call play two,
To most of us, this play is new
Down, Set, Hut! Then I drop back,
Uh-oh, it looks like there might be a sack!
I start to scramble as the D-linemen try to find me,
Then one does, and sprints up behind me
And then I get hit, and I fly through the air,
When I hit the ground, it gave me a scare
But I had to get up, this was our chance,
And now our team had the crowd in a trance
Into the huddle one last time,
To lose the game now would be a crime!
I call the play, and we all yell break,
I walk to the line and my whole body starts to ache…
Down, Set, Hut! I say,
Please help me with this pass, I pray,
And then as I roll out and look for my receivers,
The crowd can only watch and cheer from the bleachers,
I keep running and running and all the while hope’n,
That one of my guys would get out in the open
And there he is, on the two-yard line,
He’s there and he’s open, and just in time!
I throw the ball as hard as I can,
So that maybe it will make it to my man,
Spiraling up, the ball travels high in the sky,
Then I feel a crushing weight come down on my thigh
On the ground, I can hear the crowd roar,
I finally look up, and I see the score
I can’t believe my eyes, we’ve won the game!
Lying on the ground, and in so much pain,
But I’m so happy, I don’t care anymore,
Cause we’ve won our league final, 35-34!
