Breaking The Chains…

I have gone through a lot
Of hardships in my life…
I was abused in so many ways,
I was a used countless amount of times
I have been mistreated,
Wrongfully accused and misjudged,
But most of all;
I have been misunderstood…

All of these occurrences change a person.
They eat away at you
From the inside.
They make you want to throw
Your hands up and give up
And just walk away from everything.

I wasn’t patient through all of it,
But for the most part I was.
Instead, I was a soldier at
My own disposal.
I was the only one fighting
For my own cause.
