Acid
A place where crazy can be sane
Just indifference in our brain
Nothing but a figment so
We'll let imagination grow
The picture will run wild and free
And take you for eternity
Sending you into a land
Where a norm will never stand
I promise it will take you far
Places you can't drive your car
Maybe happy maybe sad
it could be good it could be bad
This acid will not burn away
It may return another day
To open arms
Or fearful harms
I't repression coming with dismay....

Decisions
Decisions. An amazing part of life that every living person and thing on this planet have. Some we are condemned for, others we are praised for. There are the ones we regret, and then the ones we are entirely happy we made. Split decisions, full on decisions, life changing ones and life threatening ones. There are many ways to categorize them ;however, instead of wasting time with that i will just get to the point.

My point in writing this is to get across a message and make people think about how important every decision actually is, i actually find it quite mind boggling. Every person actually has in the beginning billions of different paths their life can take, and with each decision they make it cuts it down bit by bit. It is somewhat like a fork in the road, accept every branch off that fork leads to another fork, and depending on which road you take on each of them, you could end up anywhere in the world. Which is exactly like decisions. They truly mold and shaped you to the very person you are today.

Think about it, try to think back on all the decisions you have made in life, the people you would not have met had you not made those decisions, experiences you would not have had, then again, who knows who else you would have met, the other things you may have tried going down the other roads. it is entirely impossible to know what could have happened, the only thing you know and will ever know is the roads you have taken already, which actually really suck, i would love to even just have a quick glance at all the possible outcomes that could have been, it would be amazing to see.

Tho i am getting tired and im sure you are getting bored so i will conclude. Just think about it next time you go to make a decision think of the possible changes it can make to your life, its really quite amazing and very strange to think on now and then.

Peace easy and be free

A World of Insanity
Ahh planet earth. A place of wonder and amazement. How humanity could create such a wondrous place, and the creativity of our kind. It is truly amazing. What is also amazing though, is how we, who created such beauty can create such disaster and have such chaotic minds.

The world right now is really a turning into a shithole. It is full of hypocritical, inconsiderate bastards. I'm not saying that I am not, in fact I am very hypocritical for actually writing this.. Anyways im going to start by looking to the past... Most people look back on the ancient times of the Trojans, in Greek and Roman times, the Native American times, and the mid-evil times and think they are savages. However, if you truly think hard about it, is not dropping bombs on a country and causing such great devastation because we don't like their way of life or whatever the reason may be, is that not savage.. At least back in those times they fight with honer using swords, bow and arrows and shields. We fight wars with guns and bombs, in our city's people fight each other with hateful words, with guns, with knives and with various other weapons, we fight in packs like rabid dogs. There is no honor in that, there is only savagery. If you really have a problem with someone try to talk it out, if you still feel compelled to use violence, do it one on one, they go down let them get up don't just shit kick them giving them absolutely no chance.

As well back in those times they had respect for their fellow man... they didn't go around breaking into peoples shit and stealing it... They also didn't have all these ridiculous laws we do today. They may have had harsher punishment, but hey a guy gets caught steeling his hand is gone, he somewhat deserves it... I wouldn't say so much in this time with all this poverty and materialistic ways. But I mean come on, do we really feel the need to waste all the time and money to prosecute some guy who likes to smoke his pot now and then, I say let people do their drugs if it doesn't harm anyone else... sure if they go steal shit from people or stab a man or what not punish them. But is there any crime if they earn that money or get what they want in a legitimate way.

I don't have anything against law and order, rules and regulations are there for a reason, I just have a problem with the way they are carried out and the way they are enforced. I find it ridiculous how someone with a gram of weed can get a harsher punishment then someone with 90grams in 6 different containers. Does that make sense to anyone.

Another thing about our time is how materialistic this monopoly world is. Our world is about looks, money, power and fame.... How does a hockey player or actor make millions per year while the teachers giving our children knowledge get fuck all. I personally would rather see people who do it for the love of their sports or the love of acting doing it. Especially when parents of children are paying thousands of dollars to have their kids in hockey. Sure pay them to do it cause it's a career but don't give them all that money. Another thing is how these big corporations pay their grunt workers like shit for what they make... Sure they deserve a good pay check for making a successful company, that's some hard work, but pay the people working for you better, how is the owner of McDonalds making so much money, while the people working in the store make $9 per hour, it may be easy work but really you cant live off that... I would love to see everyone in the world who works for just one company not show up to work for one or two day, it would have a catastrophic loss for that company. I mean what would they do.. are the managers and owners and everyone high up in the company going to run each store, hell know... I'll tell you what they're gonna do. Eat the loss and hire more shmucks to do the work for them and pay them shitty wages because they can.

In conclusion I will say that this won't change the world. It wont change the mind or life of a single person that reads it. Hell it won't even change the way I live, and I'm the one who thinks it and is writing it. Thus our world will keep spiraling downward, generation after generation until one of two things happen. Either the world as we know it will end, or people start to follow better morals, and until the workers of the world unite and work together to start a peaceful revolution not only for the good of mankind but also for the good of the planet and all the creatures of the world.

Poem
My mind is cloudy as the sky,
An ocean of tears I'll certainly cry,
So much emotion yet none at all,
A bottomless pit I seem to fall,
A subtle weep of pain and sorrow,
An endless night before tomorrow,
I cannot sleep I cannot eat,
I cannot walk on such numb feet,
I cannot find the light to the night,
nor can I find the shine in the day,
The lonely darkness I will fight,
And pray for light to come my way...

At Once...
Think of the past
that flew by so fast
At once things were clear
but now more a mirror
At once we were young
and held back our tongue
But as we grow old
we say things more bold
At once we were glad
to chill out with dad
It was also the bomb
to hang with our mom
But then came our teens
when we were more keen
to chill with our friends
and bad mouth the rents
but then comes your kid
to show what you did.

so just look deep inside and you'll know what to do,
theirs some thoughts for the happy
a few for the sad,

others left for the rad
my mind it races a mile a minute
so go crack me open to see whats in it.

pure morning

A friend in needs a friend indeed,
A friend with weed is better,
A friend with breasts and all the rest,
A friend whos dressed in leather,

A friend in needs a friend indeed,
A friend wholl tease is better ,
Our thoughts compressed,
Which makes us blessed,
And makes for stormy weather,

A friend in needs a friend indeed,
My japanese is better,
And when shes pressed she will undress,
And then shes boxing clever,

A friend in needs a friend indeed,
A friend who bleeds is better,
My friend confessed she passed the test,
And we will never sever,

Days dawning, skins crawling [repeat three more times]
Pure morning, [repeat this three more times]

A friend in needs a friend indeed,

Here's tothe night.....

So denied, so I lied
Are you the now or never kind?
In a day and a day love
I'm gonna be gone for good again

Are you willing to be had?
Are you cool with just tonight?
Here's a toast to all those who hear me all too well

Here's to the nights we felt alive
Here's to the tears you knew you'd cry
Here's to goodbye tomorrow's gunna come too soon

Put your name on the line
Along with place and time
Want to stay, not to go, I want to ditch the logical
Here's a toast to all those who hear me all too well

Here's to the nights we felt alive
Here's to the tears you knew you'd cry
Here's to goodbye tomorrow's gunna come too soon

All my time is froze in motion
Can't I stay an hour or two or more
Don't let me let you go

Don't let me let you go

Here's a toast to all those who hear me all too well

Here's to the nights we felt alive
Here's to the tears you knew you'd cry
Here's to goodbye, tomorrow's gunna come too soon

Too soon

Here's to the nights we felt alive
Here's to the tears you knew you'd cry
Here's to goodbye tomorrow's gunna come too soon

Serotonin
Serotonin was first recognised as a powerful vasoconstrictor in blood serum. It was isolated in 1948 by Page and was later found to be associated with the central nervous system.

The chemical name for serotonin is 5-hydoxytryptamine which is often abbreviated to 5-HT.

Serotonin is naturally produced in the Pineal gland which lies deep at the centre of the human brain. The average adult human possesses only 5 to 10 mg of serotonin, 90 % of which is in the intestine and the rest in blood platelets and the brain.

One role of this 'wonder drug' is as a neurotransmitter, allowing numerous functions in the human body including the control of appetite, sleep, memory and learning, temperature regulation, mood, behaviour, cardiovascular function, muscle contraction, endocrine regulation and depression. Subsequent to his discovery of Serotonin, Page commented that no physiological substance known possesses such diverse actions in the body as does serotonin.

5-HT is also found in wasp stings and scorpion venom where its function is of an irritant, since intravenous injection of serotonin in humans leads to pain, gasping, coughing, a tingling and prickling sensation, nausea, cramps and other unpleasant symptoms.

Serotonin is manufactured in the human brain using the essential amino acid tryptophan which is found in foods such as bananas, pineapples, plums, turkey and milk.

The enzyme tryptophan hydroxylase adds a hydroxyl group to tryptophan's benzene ring at position 5, creating 5-hydroxytryptophan. Another enzyme, amino acid decarboxylase, then removes a carboxyl group from 5-hydroxytryptophan, forming 5-hydroxytryptamine which is more commonly known as serotonin.

Serotonin is a neurotransmitter involved in the transmission of nerve impulses. Neurotransmitters are chemical messengers within the brain that allow the communication between nerve cells.

Packets of serotonin (vesicles) are released from the end of the presynaptic cell into the synaptic cleft. The serotonin molecules can then bind to receptor proteins within the postsynaptic cell, which causes a change in the electrical state of the cell. This change in electrical state can either excite the cell, passing along the chemical message, or inhibit it. Excess serotonin molecules are taken back up by the presynaptic cell and reprocessed.

The neurons in the brain that release serotonin are found in small dense collections of neurons called Raphe Nuclei. The Raphe Nuclei are found in the medulla, pons and midbrain which are all located at the top of the spinal cord. Serotonergic neurons have axons which project to many different parts of the brain, therefore serotonin affects many different behaviors.

Low serotonin levels are believed to be the cause of many cases of mild to severe depression which can lead to symptoms such as anxiety, apathy, fear, feelings of worthlessness, insomnia and fatigue. The most concrete evidence for the connection between serotonin and depression is the decreased concentrations of serotonin metabolites in the cerebrospinal fluid and brain tissues of depressed people.

If depression arises as a result of a serotonin deficiency then pharmaceutical agents that increase the amount of serotonin in the brain should be helpful in treating depressed patients. Anti-depressant medications increase serotonin levels at the synapse by blocking the reuptake of serotonin into the presynaptic cell. Anti-depressants are one of the most highly prescribed medications despite the serious side-effects they can cause.

If depression is mild enough it can sometimes be managed without prescribed medications. The most effective way of raising serotonin levels is with vigorous exercise. Studies have shown that serotonin levels are increased with increased activity and the production of serotonin is increased for some days after the activity. This is the safest way of increasing serotonin levels and many other benefits result from regular exercise.

Serotonin levels can also be controlled through the diet. A diet deficient in omega-3 fatty acids may lower brain levels of serotonin and cause depression. Complex carbohydrates raise the level of tryptophan in the brain resulting in a calming effect. Vitamin C is also required for the conversion of tryptophan into serotonin.

Lysergic Acid Diethylamide

Lysergic acid diethylamide, more commonly known as LSD, is a non-toxic, non-addictive molecule which mimics serotonin in the brain. The body 'mistakes' LSD for serotonin and shoots it across the synaptic cleft. LSD has a higher affinity for 5-HT receptors than serotonin, thus the presence of LSD prevents serotonin from sending neural messages in the brain. Once the LSD molecule is bound to the receptor proteins the message is not carried any further. Instead the impulse is redirected to the older parts of the brain, where the bloodstream then takes it to the sense interpretive centres and the motor areas.

There are many similarities between the molecules of serotonin and LSD which allows this process to occur, the most obvious being their close structural similarities, particularly the indole ring shown highlighted in blue.

Serotonin
Lysergic acid diethylamide

Another close similarity between LSD and serotonin is the electron density of the highest occupied molecular orbital. The electron density is lowest in the areas around the indole ring in both molecules. This is indicated by the blue areas in the diagrams.

Serotonin
LSD

The dipole moment of the two molecules are very close. Serotonin is 2.98 debye and LSD is 3.04 debye, with the dipole moment going towards the NH2 group in both molecules. The close similarity in dipole moment is key to the ability of LSD to fit into the same receptors as serotonin.

The combination of all of these chemical similarities allows LSD to imitate serotonin and cause psychedelic hallucinations and visions.
