Linkin Park's Road To Revolution: Live At Milton Keynes CD/DVD is now available! The double-disc set captures the band's June 29, 2008 show at the Milton Keynes National Bowl during the sold-out European leg of this past summer's Projekt Revolution Tour. Linkin Park's Projekt Revolution has become one of the summer concert season's annual heavyweights and the Milton Keynes gig -- played to a packed house crowd of almost 50,000 people -- was the biggest in the tour's six-year history.
Packed in recyclable eco-friendly materials, Road to Revolution features hidden bonus tracks and an eye-popping multi-page booklet that includes exclusive, never-before-seen live photos. The CD/DVD set highlights a mix of new hits, including latest single "Leave Out All The Rest," classic tracks such as "Breaking The Habit" and "Crawling" and two special performances -- "Jigga What/Faint" and "Numb/Encore" -- featuring Grammy winning rapper Jay-Z. In 2005, "Numb/Encore" was awarded a Grammy for "Best Rap/Sung Collaboration."
Linkin Park packed their new CD in eco-friendly material because they care about the planet. What have you done to help the environment lately? All you had to do to win was tell us what you're doing to change how you impact the environment and you could have walked away with either:

I dont have a car so I dont drive, I live right in town. Near all the stores so I just walk everywhere I need to go. I do my best to make sure my father and other people dont drive somewhere thats not even a block away. I turn off the lights in the house that arent being used. I mean why have them on all the time. I dont use the heat in my room 24/7, infact its rare I use it. I just put a sweater on or sit on my bed under my blanket. When the heat is on in other rooms and no ones in there I just turn it down. Why heat a room that no one is in? Or why heat a room more then it needs to be? My family and I recycle things that need to be recycled. I turn off my laptop when I go to bed and or not using it for a long period of time. I turn off my TV all the time. I never leave it on when I leave. I unplug my cell phone charger and anything else that doesnt need to be plugged in. I use eco friendly bags. And even when I go into a store I dont get a bag id I dont need one. Back in Dec. 07 I did a Flick off Support thing in my help account to get people to show they did support the saving the world. Click here to check it out. I did this last year so the info is way out of date. But none the less, I did my best to get the word out and show my support and the support of other nexopia users. This planet is at the start of a global failure. Acting now, could possibly save our planet in the long run. Im really really tired of global warming and my summers being hotter then they should be ;\ .
Runners up:
Hi my name is Dustin Roesberg I live in Calgary, Alberta I work for a family friend renovating new and old houses. Now renovating houses isn’t the most eco friendly process, but throughout the project I can install new eco friendly windows, insulation, furnaces and over various things which most of these are now built eco friendly and we recycle what we can. So when I’m working I’m helping people become more eco friendly through the design of their house/home. Besides working I am a full time student I take the bus to and from school and walk when I can. At home I always recycle paper, cardboard, cans, glass, plastic and milk cartons. My furnace which is brand new is not usually on unless it’s like -15C, we don’t use light during the day and at night the only lights that are on are the ones we need and the computer is turned off when we are not using it. My mom always shops with reusable bags and she also drives a 2006 ion which is quite a fuel saver.
me and my dad started a recycling program at my old high school (he is a teacher there). every week we collect the cardboard, paper, boxes, newspaper, and plastic from the whole school. We put separate bins in each classroom for bottles and paper.
we use the money from the bottles and put it back into school programs to rent out small buses or vans for the sports teams in our school so they don't have to drive 3 or 4 vehicles to transport everyone. Saves on gas emissions.
Also at home we recycle everything that we can. We reduce garbage in our house by 8 regular sized garbage bags a week.
I have a car but I take city transit to save on gas and money. I like to walk to places as well.
We have energy save light bulbs all over our house and it really saves on the power bills. i think they say that changing one light bulb to energy efficient light bulbs is like taking 60,000 cars off the road.
we have 13 energy save light bulbs in our house, so we're taking 780,000 cars off the road. that's insane!!
We don't use our air conditioning in the summer.. it's a waste. we always turn the heat off at night in the house in the winter.
THings I do to help the enviroment:
recycled drum heads, Yeah its possible
I walk to school
I shutdown my computer and flick off my lights
make sure to limit my tv time and turn it off before bed
Me and my band donate some of our proceeds to help our community to have a community garden
I carpool with my hockey team when possible
Remind people of the recycling and littering
AND I compost
Use energy efficient light bulbs
Use recycled paper
AND Im a member of the Global Awareness Commity, currently holding a contest to each class, whoever brings in the most old, used batteries wins a cake :)
Thats a short list, I REALLY LOVE LINKIN PARK I WANT THIS SO BAD
well, every year i partake in an activity called highway clean-up.
basically i clean up the side of the road for roughly 15 km
i also recycle bottles, cans and glass
I've been the kind of "protect the environment!" kind of person since I was about ten and my teacher started telling us about what's happening in the world and how we're killing it. It's gotten to the point where it actually annoys my parents because they can't even leave room for twenty minutes, leaving a light on, without me telling them to FLICK OFF. I've driven my mother crazy until she agreed to start using environmentally friendly cleaning products. I continue to try to get them to by a hybrid car but they haven't yet given into that. I strongly believe in Reuse, Reduce, and Recycle. I recycle all cans, bottles, plastics, cardboards and papers. All of my old clothes are given to other people or brought to second hand stores, rather than throwing them out. I also buy a lot of my clothes from second hand stores. I reuse everything possible, like water bottles. My number one use of transportation are roller blades. When it's necessary for me to find other means of transportation I either take the bus or find someone that's already going where I am so it's less gas wasted. The search engine I use is Blackle which is an energy saving version of google. Sometimes my aunt and I walk around the neighborhoods and fiends and pick up trash. I planted a tree in my back yard, I named him spike. I use rechargeable a batteries. I got my mom to buy the reusable shopping bags. Last year I took part in a "go green" day and my friends mom (who is a teacher) got me to go over to the elementary where she works and I helped her go around to all the class rooms and helped her explain to the kids what effects we're having on our world. For left overs I use containers, no saran wrap or tin foil. I do however use ziplock bags but we wash them out and reuse them. It saves money and the environment. =]. I started using the new eco-friendly light bulbs (honestly they're more expensive yeah but they work way better and last way longer). The lady that lives next door composts and so she lets me bring over the compostable items for her to compost. Last year my mom and I tried planting our own vegetables, tried being the operative word, it failed but at least we gave it a shot. This year when I got a new mattress I had it recycled and disposed of properly rather than sending it too a dump. I also sent my old computers parts away to be disposed of properly. My mom and I go through our shelves once every two months and any boxed/caned foods that we decide we just won't end up eating, we donate to the food bank. I gave all of my childhood toys to my cousins who are much younger than I am, they enjoyed them very much. I'm home schooled so I do all my school work on the computer rather than on paper.
I just recently bought an electric car, and I encourage others to buy hybrids or electric cars themselves. I always have, and always will use compost bins in my backyard which I use to fertilize my small yet liveable garden.
There are many trees I have planted in my back yard which have all survived because of my compost. This sounds silly but I honestly use a well to draw my water. My house runs mostly on solar power.
My family uses our house to take in stray animals which have nowhere else to live.
I know it’s not a whole lot but even one person helping the environment makes a world of a difference!
I hope by reading this all of you will be encouraged to do something more for the environment.
Good luck Linkin Park you’re not fighting alone!
Every bit counts!

do something.
our environment is really horrible. Oh and edmonton just had its snow fall. I blame global warming.
we can prevent this stuff from happening!!
<3 Two of my favorite things.. together ♥ I've been waiting for this forever.
Small stuff obviously impacts the environment every day. I do these things:
-Shutting off a light when leaving a room
-Powering down my computer when I leave the house and not letting it stay on
-Putting a sleep timer on my TV so if I fall asleep while watching it, it doesn't stay on all night.
-Washing only FULL loads of laundry to conserve water and electricity.
-Buying handmade or locally grown food and products, which = less pollution from processing and shipping, AND less pesticides in the air.
-Leaving lights off and opening a window for light during the day, only using them when I have to
-Take a bus to and from school every day
-Walking if I can, instead of driving
-Using reusable bags for shopping and whatnot, instead of paper or plastic.
-Wearing a sweatshirt instead of turning up the heat
-Buying things that have a minimal amount of packaging, more package, more waste.
-Using plastic containers like ziploc ones instead of plastic bags.'
-Recycling bottles from pop and whatever else is in the house.
-Buying from thrift stores. Everything I buy is practically new anyway, so why not, instead of making a new one?
-Discontinuing newspaper delivery to my house and instead reading it on the internet.
-Making sure the car I'm in doesn't idle (I don't drive my own yet, so I just remind the driver)
-Participate in the school & community's recycling programs
-Bring my own coffee cup If I'm going somewhere that sells coffee/hot chocolate, like a gas station.
-Hard plastic plates! There's really no excuse for paper, it's not hard to do dishes.
-I actually reuse the christmas wrapping and bags I get... lol D:
-Buying music off ITUNES. ZERO waste being made there.
-Use natural remedies over medical ones whenever I can. For example, use chamomile tea instead of cold meds when I'm sick.
-Planting a garden & using "natural fertilizer" courtesy of the family farm (cow poo ; D )
-Buying books used, or going to the library instead of buying them new.
-Only using recycled paper in my printer
-Not printing pictures. I save them on the internet and share them that way.
-I don't have to do this yet, but I'll make my own baby food when I have babies.
-Buying food fresh and unprocessed from farmer's markets and whatnot, little or no packaging.
-Cut up old clothes to make new ones.
-Using natural cleaners in the house as opposed to chemical ones.
-Taking showers with a BCHYDRO 5minute timer or with my boyfriend (should I put that on the internet?)
-Swimming in a lake or river instead of a pool, which is full of chlorine and has to have mass amounts of electricity to cycle the water.
-I am completely AGAINST hunting.
-Writing letters to the BC government asking them to find faster ways to clean an oil spill, more ways to prevent forest fires, and to make the Vancouver 2010 as ecofriendly as possible.
-Reusable water bottles.
-Buying people Eco friendly presents (just google it, there's tons of sites)
-Solar panels on my house
-Picking up garbage
:] That's it I guess. I'm a very pro-environment.
Lately I've been very concerned about the planet and being eco-friendly, so I've started using cloth/reuseable bags while shopping, walking more instead of taking the bus or getting a ride everywhere, and even buying highly concentrated laundry soap, so my family and I only have to use a quarter of the amount we were using before. I've also been buying hemp clothing, recycling anything that can be recycled, eating only organic, locally grown vegetables and fruits, and avoiding using lights in the house at all costs (candles make everything look so much prettier, too!) Now, even if I don't win, at the very least, I'm hoping that some of my eco-friendly ideas will be heard by someone who might not have been doing them, and they'll see how easy it really is to help save our planet. :)
